Our staff works in rural Africa creating better opportunities for rural families to save, borrow and learn about how to improve their businesses and manage their limited resources more effectively. We believe that the financials services which we in the global north take for granted are basic human rights which help those individuals around the world living in poverty to better reach their personal and financial goals. Once people reach these basic goals of financial security they are much better prepared to start building the systems and strengthening the local leadership needed to see widespread change in their communities.

Microcredit

We provide small loans to those who have no access to traditional banks. These loans allow people to invest in their own businesses and improve their financial stability.  

Savings

In addition to providing a structure for our clients to save towards personal and business goals our savings program helps individuals increase the security of their families by mitigating the impact of emergency situations such as injury, sickness, or extreme changes in weather by having a safe way to save.

Business education

Through our business education courses we are able to cover topics such as tracking profits through better accounting, customer relations, and savings plans which help maximize the impacts of our microfinance loans and other financial services.(For additional information read more in our section on Education)

Local mentorship

In our communities local mentors and industry experts are able to enforce what is learned in business education courses and help clients apply learning directly to their businesses and unique situations through job shadowing exercises and continuing education in cooperative meetings.
