Microfinance Become A Fellow

Become a Fellow

Lumana fellows are the backbone of our program.

A Lumana Fellow is a confident, capable, and self-directed person who can take on tasks and provide needed support to Lumana’s Core staff. This support will either come from working directly with a staff person(s) or through projects completed on an individual basis.

U.S. and international Fellow positions are available and both are integral to our success as an organization; Lumana Fellows will generally work at our headquarters in Seattle while International Fellows will work on the ground expanding our microfinance operations in Ghana.

When you work for Lumana you will be participating in new projects and making contributions to existing efforts that will be picked up and built upon in the future. What you do will matter in continuously creating better solutions for serving the rural poor.

We look for young and excited individuals who want to take a creative control in building programs that help the rural poor become empowered authors of their own futures.

(Applicants must be at least 18 years of age and should be able to demonstrate the ability to take initiative, work independently and also meet the minor time commitments associated with their specific fellowship.)

Current Openings

We are now accepting applications for our International Fellows Program. There are two Fellows trips available during the spring and summer of 2012, each lasting approximately eight weeks. For more information and application details, click here.

Lumana is looking for a web design intern to help us improve our website. For posting information, click here.

Due to the competitive nature of our fellowship offerings and the high demand we consistently see, complete resumes are required. They should detail past work and volunteer experience which illustrate why the applicant is suited for the position with Lumana.
